Diane Linscott will be featured artist with The Gerry Wright Trio for the Waterville Opera House Gala

Diane Linscott will appear at The Press Room in Portsmouth, NH on Sunday, September 10 with Gerry Wright, piano and the Jim Howe Trio.

On September 8, 2006 Diane Linscott & Friends will broadcast live on Maine Public Broadcasting Network. Friday Night Jazz, 9 PM. For those who can't tune in that night, but would like to hear the concert, go to MPBN. Net and click on On Demand...the show may be heard online for 8 weeks after airing. Gerry Wright will be on piano; Jim Howe, bass; Mike Bennett, drums.

On my recent month-long trip to Italy, I sang at La Cantina in Venice with the Max Bustreo Quartet. This particular night Max, and the other musicians, decided to perform outdoors on Campo San Felice whereupon the four of them rolled the upright over the threshold and got underway. Excellent musicians and by 9 PM a large audience had gathered to get in on the session, sitting at candle-lit small tables in the square feasting on the delicious plates of tapa's prepared at La Cantina. It was a magical experience for me...singing under the stars, sharing the joy of making music with my new Italian friends.

Diane Linscott will be at Compass Rose Bookstore in Castine, Maine, Friday, June 23, 2006 from 4-6 PM.
Her newest release, Our Day At The Movies, will be available at this time. There will be refreshments and time to catch up on the past season in Florida.

Dick Hyman and his wife, Julia came to DaGiorgio Ristorante to hear our trio on April 16, 2006. He graciously sat in for a few tunes...such a treat to sing with him. Dick gave us a great review for our newest CD, Our Day At The Movies.

March 19, 2006 Diane Linscott, Charlie Prawdzik, piano; Mark Neuenschwander, bass; and John Moore, drums will appear in Women of Jazz Concert headlining The Lynne Arriale Trio.

We will be starting a new season at DaGiorgio's on Sunday, December 11, 2005.
On Thursday, January 5, 2006 we will start the new year with a weekly second night at DaGiorgio's. For this night Billy Pillucere, bass, will be joining Charlie and me. Billy worked with us for five years at Islands End and we're happy to be working together again.

Mark and Robin's son was born October 16, 2005. Mark tells me mother and son are doing wonderfully...

Our Day At The Movies, a collection of ballads from Doris Day Movies has just been recorded. Charlie Prawdzik on the Baldwin concert grand, Diane Linscott, vocals, Mark Neuenschwander on bass with Perry Childs on flute completes the complement playing the tunes in the style as originally presented in the movies. Release date TBA.
